The Temptation of Jesus for Kids: A Chorus Play for Lent

 In Free Lesson, Liturgical Calendar

Lent is a season set apart for growing closer to Jesus, and it offers an opportunity to help children deepen their faith by encountering God in their own lives. This free Lenten activity invites kids to explore the Temptation of Jesus in an age-appropriate and engaging way.

Chorus plays are a type of Gospel drama that present Scripture in the form of a play with both individual characters and a shared chorus. This chorus, based on Matthew 4:1–11, is designed for full-class participation. Roles include a Leader, a Voice, and a Chorus. It can be helpful to assign one reader to speak the “Chorus” lines first, with the rest of the children echoing that reader together.
