LESSON 1
The Paschal Mystery and the Gospels
Lesson 1 is from The Paschal Mystery & the Gospels, well suited for Lent. It focuses on how can we experience the Paschal Mystery in our daily life. The lesson will help take this high theological concept to a practical relational level for your students.
LESSON 2
The Church Foundations and Mission
Lesson 2 is from The Church Foundations and Mission. In this lesson, students will examine the significance of Jesus’ death and resurrection, and what this means for the establishment of the Church by making a newspaper that tells the story. This activity will guide them through making real-life connections between Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, and will help them learn empathy as well as empowerment for their role in the Church.
LESSON 3
Sacraments and God’s Grace
Lesson 3 is from Sacraments and God’s Grace, and focuses on our individual need for redemption. It explores the concept of God’s unconditional love for us, helping students to reflect on their own need to accept the love of Christ while helping them to recognize the love that God has for others as well.
LESSON 4
Morality and God’s Love
Lesson 4 is from Morality and God’s Love, and it focuses on helping students to understand how they can live the Beatitudes in their own lives. This lesson goes beyond memorizing and gives young people a foundation on which they can build a new understanding of morality and love.
LESSON 5
Revelation and the Old Testament
Lesson 5 is from Revelation and the Old Testament, and gives students a chance to become Biblical scholars by working through a small-group exegesis project! Students are encouraged to dissect and understand what Scripture is teaching them and to work in their groups to bring about new understanding of God’s Word!
LESSON 6
Jesus Christ and the New Testament
Lesson 6 is from Jesus Christ and the New Testament, and includes a fun activity for students to learn more about the Trinity and explore the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. Students are able to dive deep into what the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit really mean, and they get to do so in a fun and light-hearted classroom activity!
